Central to the processing of single and multiple files for Cad Publisher Professional is the Job File and Job Card.  It is the Job Card that defines the input files to be used and the output products to be produced.

As a minimum a job needs to consist of a DXF file as an "input" file and a "product" to be produced.

Or you can use a setting (.set) and Library (.rsl) file as inputs to process a DXF file for a very specific result that you want to achieve.

  • The processing set-up of input file and output files is preserved as a named job in a "job" file.
  • Individual jobs can be re-run at any time.
  • Multiple jobs can be run at any time.
  • Multiple files can be processed within one job using wildcards, such as *.dxf.
  • File processing may be controlled from the command line.
  • A .JOB file contains any number of Job Cards, (the orange bit).
  • Each Job Card can be given a unique name.
  • The Job file is only available for the Professional level. The Easy level uses the Vector and Bitmap menus for the output.
