Technical Questions
The documentation is designed to answer questions regarding commands and procedures. Use the chapter heading from the main menu to go straight to a section or select the Glossary to look through an alphabetical index of subjects.
However, given the inherent versatility of CAD systems the output formats and Cad Publisher itself there are often many ways to achieve a desired graphic output, especially if you are new to Cad Publisher.
Please feel free to call or send us an email and talk about how you can get the output you require.
Cad Publisher - software problems
If you feel that something is not working correctly, please let us know. It may or may not be a fault with the software, but your feedback is helpful all the same. It helps us to keep improving the software and support materials.
In most cases the software will report an error message and write that to the cp.log file. Send us the cp.log file or report the error and we will get to work on it. The error message points us to the line of code that has caused the problem.
If you have any problems at all with Cad Publisher, send us an e-mail or give us a call, send a fax if appropriate. If you prefer to contact us by e-mail, we will be happy to sort out your problem. Please ensure you ZIP up all of your files.
This is what you need to send us:
With the files you send us, we will try to duplicate your problem. We will then contact you offering the best possible solution.
Output Problems
If a PostScript file is not printing as you think it should, it can be useful to send the PostScript "error handler" to the printer ahead of the suspect file. The error handler file traps and displays the error (when the page is printed) in the suspect file. That message can point us in the right direction.
You download the error handler from the Printing main menu.
